Practises as Counsel and Attorney at Law before courts and arbitration tribunals in the areas of corporate, tax, contract and inheritance law; additional knowledge in aviation law.
Extensive experience in corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions; national and international commercial and contract matters; real estate transactions; matrimonial and inheritance contracts; wills and execution of wills. Frequently acts as Attorney at Law in tax appeal procedures; provides any kind of notarial services.
Education: Legal studies at the University of Basel.
Experience: Worked for several years in the tax advisory department of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Basel; Attorney at Law and Notary Public in Basel since 1987. Long-time lecturer in tax law at the Basel Business School (professional education institution for certified accountants/controllers) and for aviation law at the Basel Flight Academy; since 1990 delegate of the Basel Chamber of Commerce for tax matters.
Memberships: Basel Bar Association (President 2001–2004); Swiss Bar Association; Basel Notary Association and Swiss Notary Association.
Publications: Author of numerous legal publications, especially on tax law.
